Improve Your Understanding of International Baccalaureate Principles and Practices

In cooperation with the International Baccalaureate Organization, Bethel University in St. Paul, MN, is recognized as one of a select few universities world-wide approved to offer the IB Teacher Level 1 Award.

Teachers gain a solid familiarity with  all three IB programs. The award aims to formally recognize  their knowledge and understanding of curricular, pedagogical, and assessment issues involved in implementing the IB program in which they teach or intend to teach.

Upon completion of Bethel's program, teachers will be eligible to register for the IB Teacher Level 1 Award through the International Baccalaureate Organization.

Ideal learners are licensed teachers who are:

  • Teachers in an International Baccalaureate school who would like to deepen their understanding of IB programs.
  • Interested in working in schools offering one or more of the IB programs.
  • Wish to be eligible to register for the Teacher Award Level 1 in one of the three IB programs.
